Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser type, operating system and how you use the Site. We use this to keep the Site secure, prevent abuse and improve it.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, publish your reviews and show your public profile.
- To send account emails such as confirmation codes, password resets and replies to your reviews.
- To run points, leaderboards and monthly prizes, including contacting winners.
- To verify business claims. Claim documents are stored privately and seen only by our team.
- To detect fake reviews, spam and misuse.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
We may send occasional updates about Review2Rate. You can opt out at any time.
What is public
Your username or display name, profile photo, city (if you add it), bio, reviews, review photos, points, level and badges are public. Your email address and phone number are never shown publicly.
Sharing your information
We share information with service providers who help us run the Site, such as hosting and email delivery. They must keep it confidential and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or by valid requests from public authorities. We do not sell your personal information.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and the Site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can access and correct your information in your account settings, and delete your account and reviews at any time from Settings. For anything else, contact us.
